ABOUT

EN – Paula Huijer Smitshoek (born in Harderwijk, 1990) studied at the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences where specialized in photography at the art academy in Hamburg. Here she bathed in her passion for images and learned other disciplines such as exhibiting, the darkroom, painting and drawing. Film is her dream and reality. Her style is a play with the dark, poetic and the un- and recognizable. Stillness and movement.

Currently living in Spain where the light is ‘amazingly beautiful’.

ESP – Paula Huijer Smitshoek (nacio en Harderwijk, 1990) estudió en la Universidad de Utrecht y se especializó en fotografía en la academia de arte de Hamburgo. Aquí se bañó en su pasión por las imágenes y aprendió otras disciplinas como la exposición, el cuarto oscuro, la pintura y el dibujo. El cine es su sueño y su realidad. Su estilo es un juego con lo oscuro, lo poético y lo no reconocible. Quietud y movimiento. Actualmente viviendo en España donde ‘la luz es preciosa’.
